I wish I had more than the two black and white studio photographs of my mum and dad. They are both no more.  There are many other photos of them clicked on hot-shots and what-nots. But the two studio portraits are the only truly beautiful photos of them.  They are now yellow, and twisted on the edges and smell of old books.  All the other pictures don't have the same feel of romance and the sweetness of memory.

I have always loved photography, though my other careers kept me away from immersing myself in this for many years. More recently, I decided to pursue this craft, as I believe studio photography has a mesmeric quality that touches the deepest corners of one's heart, unlike the photos on an everyday smartphone.  Those come and go. 

 

The nuanced beauty of studio  photography is timeless. 

 

So, for me, its now an obsession. I take photos of people, in all shapes, sizes and hues as I truly believe the human form and expression is exquisitely beautiful, irrespective. Let my photos find that in you.
